Nothing really important. Just a new affiliate and I've edited the monologue guidelines ONCE AGAIN. :I

Okay... I've been giddy recently about the recent activity of this certain RP I admin so... Basically, I'll just copy-paste what I said there and post it here, alrite? :> I am now adding a ‘Timezone’ entry. Right now, I'd like you guys to note us your Timezones with the title Timezone (that was pretty obvious). In addition to this update, I've also separated the Member list from the main journal. It seems that the Member list was taking up space (along with the Remaining Characters list) so I moved it. That's basically it. So note us with yer timezones now so we can RP! C:

How do I Join?

1. Choose a character from the “remaining characters” list (below).
2. Send me a note (please type a subject like this: "Application: Gintoki Sakata", it will help me to categorize the notes) filling out the form below:

3. Please do not create an account before receiving the note telling that you`re in.
4. Once you’re in, don’t forget to submit an introduction journal. Remaining confidential or mentioning your regular account is up to you.

6. After everything is ready, and you have alerted us to your existence, the RP will add you to the character list. As far as icons go, you may provide your own, although feel free to ask any of the admins if you are unable to make one. If you are to make one, read the Icon Guidelines below the General Rules

P.S. You don't have to list all RP accounts, more and more people keep joining us and if you list them in your journal you’ll have to update often. We're doing this job for everyone, updating the account list as frequently as we can, so you can just put a link for the Headquarters.



ICON GUIDELINES :

Your icon should be an art from the anime, manga, and even fanart is allowed, so as long as the characters are still recognizable. For the OCs, feel free to use your own drawings.

Your icon must have a 1px black border.

On the left/right/up/down corner of the icon, please put the character's name or nickname (font size 7, Arial Narrow, 1px black border).

If you'd like to change your icon, I don't mind. As long as it still has that 1px black border, and the character's name or nickname (font size 7, Arial Narrow, 1px black border).

MONOLOGUE GUIDELINES :
-This is for those who would like to apply for a character. If you’re already part of the RP, pay no attention to this.

Please avoid using the “fanfiction” type monologue as much as possible. Though I’m not saying it is prohibited, I’d approve of your monologue much more if you would minimize the sentences and more of the talking. An example of the “fanfiction” style is this one:

The girl with brown hair sighed. It had been a long time since she saw her brother and she did not want a repeat of what happened to both of them two years ago. She sighed again as they viewed the airplane descending. In a few minutes, she and her brother would be reunited again and she would have to fake a lot of smiles again.

If you need a topic for the monologue, do indicate it in the note in the monologue part. We will be waiting for a week and will reserve that character (if ever we accept the rest your application excluding the monologue part) for you. If you do not submit the monologue within that period of time, the character will be up for application. Feel free to apply for him or her again if that’s the case.

I did say avoid the “fanfiction” style but do remember that I said “as much as possible”. I’m not entirely discouraging it. I just don’t like to see the monologue consisting mostly of the “fanfiction” style. Put more of the character talking about something or to someone. Here’s an example:

The girl with brown hair sighed. I’m merely wasting my and my brother’s time here. He’d be, “OH! HEY! I MISSED YOU!” when my parents are here and be all, “Hahaha! Another example would be this one:

I know I’m not good so don’t comment about the story. Moving on, I’d prefer if you sent something like that. As you can see, it has more words than the action and it shows more of the character’s personality. Plus, it’s actually 4-5 lines, no? This is a role-play and according to my research, most of the characters talk in role-plays so be good boy/girl and do what you are told to do. *pets you*

Once again, reduce the usage of fanfiction and talk some more please.

The only time I’m allowing the usage of the “fanfiction” style without talking in a monologue is when the character you’re applying for is the silent type. Other than that, don’t use it that much.

General RP Rules

1. Please link to the HQ on your journal or signature.
2. Keep the accounts active! Let’s say, how does “at least twice a week” sound? If we do call you on inactivity, and you have been active, please show us proof. But unless you do, we will automatically remove you from the members list.
3. If you're going on a hiatus, please inform people by mentioning it in your journal. Don't forget to tell how long you will be gone.
4. As of now, only two accounts per RPer will be allowed. Give others a chance!
5. SPELLING SPELLING SPELLING. I dun liek ppl typing lyk dis.
6. Please do not make your activity invisible. If you do, we will warn you in a note. If you still haven`t changed your activity after two weeks of being issued the warning, we will automatically remove you from the members list.
7. Be nice to others! We don't like drama in the RP. If something or someone is bothering you, feel free to note the HQ, and we'll try our best to sort things out.
8. Once you make your account, please send in the account information to the HQ (i.e. account name and password), so that, if ever you give up your account, the next RPer will simply log in and use the old one. This will help reduce the amount of accounts on DeviantArt`s database.
9. Character reservations are allowed for only one week depending on your reason.


RULES: For Canon Caracters

1.You should stay in character to give characters more realistic aura.
2. Only official pairings are allowed! You can mention the others but please don’t let it be too obvious.
3. Be creative! Your character may be dead, but you have watched the show/read the manga, and you can make up their personalities.
4. Please be nice to others, don’t use slang, unless your character is someone who is naturally aggressive towards others.
5. You don't have to speak only with the characters in your arc. Try to be creative and talk with the others (and stay in character while doing it)!


RULES: For the OCs

1. You can't go and act like the canon characters already knew your character. Nor they could be related to the canon characters. You should introduce your character to them first.
2. Never ever forget to submit an introduction journal just like the rest of the team. OC introductions are really important, because we don't know anything about them. Please don't let your OCs be too cliché. Use your imagination!
3. You don't need to send applications for your OCs. But we'll only accept quality OCs to this group.
4. You can have OC accounts even if you have two RP accounts. They're limitless.
5. You can't pair up your OCs with the canon characters. Only mentioning is allowed.
6. Please, please please no Mary-sues or Gary-stus. Let's not make our characters beautiful smart everyone-loves-them characters. Let's make them ultimately flawed in something. Pleeaaase.
